I joined Quilting Arts listserve in 2003 just to participate in the journal quilt project. I saw it in Houston in 2002 and was blown away! I loved the idea of making a quilt each month, small so that I could experiment without investing much time or resources. But I did invest a lot. I pushed myself to try new techniques. I took risks. I love to quilt! I love very graphic designs and bold colors. I adore embellishments, especially seed beads and anything copper or hardware related. In my life before children, I was a high school science teacher and rockclimber. My children are young and wonderful and the joy of my life. It is so interesting and fun to watch them grow and see their special talents emerge.

I saw a photo on a quilt calendar in a quilt shop today, I took their calendar right off the wall and looked for more information inside, wrote down your name and the title of the piece and came right home to google you. That brought me to your blog which I read with delight, and sadness at your recent loss. God bless you dear one! I am in a painful place myself at the moment and found refuge at the quilt shop.
